Unbreakable by Abby Reynolds

unbreakableCan Keira be whole again? That is the question Keira faces every day. It’s impossible for her to go anywhere unaccompanied by her cousin, the only person who knows what happened on that horrific night a year ago. The guilt and pain weigh her down every day. Unwilling to open up to anyone and give someone a chance, she lives in solitude.

For her, that’s the only way to live.

Liam struggles with his own demons. After losing someone who means the world to him, he combats his anger and pain on a daily basis. He dives into violence and sex, losing himself more and more. But as soon as he meets Keira, he recognizes the same pain he suffers every day. And he pursues her, wanting to connect to someone who understands. Can they help each other heal?

This was a very sweet book. Even though Keira’s past is a little dark this book was very sweet, too sweet sometimes. The book was a little too superficial too me. The story felt a little rushed. I would have liked to hear more about Keira’s emotions and her reasoning. That was all the negative. I really liked was Keira. I really liked her personality. She was sweet shy girl who had a lot of bad things happened to her. And Liam! Oh Liam he was so sweet and kind to her. He really was a good guy and I kept thinking that I wanted a boyfriend like that. He just understood what she was going through even though he didn’t know it in the beginning. They were just so special as a couple. I would have liked to give this book more stars because I really liked the story. It had a lot of potential but the description was a little vague to me so I will only give this 3.5 stars. But that said I would definatly recommend it.

Angelfall by angelfallSusan Ee

The angels have overtaken the world as we know it. Penryn and her family tries to survive any way that they can in this broken world. When her sister is taken, Penryn will do all in her power to get her back, even team-up with an angel, the very thing she despises.

This book was surprisingly good. I really liked Penryn as a person and could relate to her thoughts. I would have liked to see Penryn and Raffes relationship develop some more but I guess that comes later in the second book. I really liked the writing as well. I could see this book as a movie. It wasn’t deep but you could easily imagine the surroundings because of the good descriptions. As I said I really liked this book so I give it 4 stars.

The Gypsy brothers series by Lili St. Germain

Juliette is out for revenge. The gypsy family has taken everything from her. Her father, the love of her life and her virginity. They have branded her so that she is reminded of that horrible night every single day. They think that she died that night and that makes her plan perfect because they won’t see her coming until it’s too late.

I am going to make a review of the whole series because every book is so connected. I really liked this series. Juliette is what I like in a heroine. She is really strong, brave, beautiful and a badass. They way she kicks ass and doesn’t back down when she is backed up agents the wall is amazing. The book isn’t deep but I’m okay with that because the plot was exiting. I would defiantly recommend this to everyone. 4 Stars!

Midnight Alley by Rachel Caine

When Claire Danvers learned that her college town was run by vampires, she did what any intelligent, self-preserving freshman would do: She applied for a transfer and stocked up on garlic. The transfer is no longer an option, but that garlic may come in handy.

It’s been a long time since I have read the first two books so I had forgotten how good they were. The writing is good, fun and exiting. What I especially liked about this book was the mixing of science and magic. Myrnin Said that magic and science Were the same thing and that surprised me, because I would never have thought about it in that way. I love Claire she reminds me so much of myself even though she is way smarter than me I can see similarities between us. I also love this magical world with vampires and magic. The story is exiting and there is never a dull moment in morganville. I give this 5 stars because this is the best YA series I have read to date. I would really recommend this series to everyone.

Third Debt (Indebted #4) by Pepper Winters

Third debt starts where second debt ends with Nila going home to her brother and father. But if you thought that she was safe you can think again. The Hawks get their hands on her again and this time they don’t intend to let her go. Jethro and Nila’s relationship evolves into something amazing but behind Hawks walls they are never safe. Cut, Daniel and Bonnie lurks in the shadows ready to shatter their safe haven.

Third Debt was just as great as the other books but Pepper took this one to the next level, especially with that ending.

I must say that I am a little speechless, but that is what Peppers books do to you. They take you on a roller coaster of emotions and doesn’t let you go until you are finished. Peppers writing is always flawless and deep. The way she describes emotions is second nature to her and you can feel that when she writes. The emotions pours out of her It’s amazing and highly addictive. She touches something inside of me with her writing and I always become emotional. My mind gets sucked into this world full of debts, payment and sex and I never want to leave. I never want the story to end. I am a Pepper Winters fan and I always will be. That is why I give this book 5 stars even though it isn’t nearly enough.

Finding Sky by Joss Stirling

When English girl Sky, catches a glimpse of bad boy Zed in her new American high school, she can’t get him out of her head. He talks to her with his thoughts. He reads her mind. He is the boy she will love forever. Dark shadows stalk her past but a new evil threatens her future. Sky must face the dark even if it means losing her heart. He has half the gift she has the other.

I really loved Sky and could relate to her. She was funny, sweet, cute and brave. The supernatural aspect was really great and soulfinder – so romantic. I wished the author would have described things a little bit more and made Sky’s story into three books instead of one. Even though there were some parts, I didn’t like I really liked this book so I give it 4 stars.

Because I don’t want to spoil too much for you I have released my full review on Goodreads so go there to check it out.

The edge of never by J.A. Redmerski

Cam is tired of her normal predictible life and decides that she wants to get away. She takes the first bus to nowhere and on her journey she finds Andrew who helps her discover herself.

The story is pretty simple and that is okay with me but there were some things that I didn’t like. First the sex scenes were a little tame. There was such a huge build up to the moment where they sleep together and then it was just over pretty fast. Second I thought that the ending was a little strange like the author changed her mind about Andrew.
What I did like however was the story. It was very believable and I felt like I was reading something real. I also really liked Andrew. He was so sweet and kind and good to Cam. Overall I thought it was good and if it had been a bad ending I would have given it 3 stars but since it didn’t I give it 4 stars.
